CHILD PROTECTION

Child Protection

Psychosocial Support

The Child Protection. The department provides child-centred and family-focused protection services to children and young people who have been abused or are at risk of any harm. This is achieved through provision of counselling services, psychosocial support, birth registration support, and support group session for caregivers living with disability, case management and initiating referrals to other service providers. The department also ensures that the organizational activities are child rights based.

NUTRITION

The organisation provides nutritional support to children who are from poor socio-economic backgrounds with the aim of promoting a good nutritional status and prevent occurrence of diseases. Hence, 2 meals a day are provided weekly to children who access the centre for various services. In addition to the wet feeding, dry nutritional packs are handed out to malnourished children to help boost their nutritional status. Anthropometric measurements through the centre clinic and volunteer nutritionists are measured in order to monitor the nutritional status of children accessing meals.
